Appointed by Governor Timothy M. Kaine on August 15, 2008 to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of G. Steven Agee and began his service on August 19, 2008. Elected by the General Assembly on February 11, 2009 to a 12-year term beginning February 1, 2009. Service terminated by retirement.
